SEO Process: How it gets done

Just like many SEO companies tend to follow a set of guidelines, Mouse Back has its own logical process flow for search optmization. They are:

Site Migration Checks & Tasks

Usually, this is a one-off task in the entire SEO process to ensure:

  • Minimum traffic loss
  • Minimum ranking drops
  • Key rankings maintenance

Although there are some general guidelines, the methodology is to devise a smooth and flawless process that needs to take into consideration:

  • Old (Current) site architecture
  • New Site architecture
  • Technical limitations of both platforms
  • Technical inclusions in the new platform

Recommended precautions (in coordination with the design agency)

  • Hosting / IP Address (For instance, we would recommend to host servers in UK when most of your customers are from UK. However, if your site intends to have a global outreach as well, then host in the UK with Content Delivery Networks deployed, globally)
  • Domain name (Optional: If a branded shorter, easy-to-remember domain is available, the site migration is the ideal time to rebrand your website with a new domain)
  • Crawl the old site (We use Xenu to record and store all current/old URLs)
  • URL structure (We will make sure all pages on your old site now redirect to a related page on the new site so that no 404 errors are present. We will also optimize your robots.txt file to make sure your site can be Google spider-friendly)
  • Site Architecture & Speed (If the current website is slow, make it faster. Try scoring above 90 at Google PageSpeed)
  • Content revamp, wherever necessary
  • Design (We recommend Responsive Design for website)
  • New URL syntax (If the pages follow a new set of URL syntax, then we will deploy 301 Redirects)
  • Error-free Google Rich Snippet deployment

Measure Baseline Metrics

This task is to record current organic traffic of your website so that we can gauge the surge or decline in traffic at a future date. Using Google Analytics, we:

  • Collect data on site visitors and monitor site performance.
  • Revisit baseline metrics for Year-over-Year, Quarter-over-Quarter growth and projections. If there is a dip in your site traffic, compared to the previous year, we identify potential room for improvement and restart the optimization process for the next fiscal year

Keyword & Competitor Analysis

Search engines like Google and Bing, keep a statistical repository of keywords along with historical data such as:

  • How many times were they used while searching (Ideal to decide highly-targetted ones)
  • Location of search (Ideal for Local or Regional targeting)

Using keyword research tools, we identify:

Based on this keyword research, we identify your website competitors, decide the nature and structure of our web pages; choose the keyword-rich content for our pages and; finally, build links using the same as anchor text strategy.

We gather vital information such as who are your competitors, what keywords/keyphrases they are targeting, what are they doing to attract traffic and backlinks. From where they have got their back links. We also determine the current ranking potential of your competitors in search engines and help in establishing KPIs.

On-Page Optimization

Using Keyword Research, On-Page Optimization entails enhancement of content and content attributes found on the website that comprises:

  • HTML Tweaking, primarily working on important SEO elements and strewing keywords around them, such as
    • Title Tags
    • H1-H6 (Heading) tags
    • Meta Tags
    • ALT text
    • Keyword Density (Recommended usage of targeted key-phrase within the copy is 2% to 3%)

  • Write Good Content:
    • Content that is keyword-rich copy along with LSI terms, synonymous with the key phrases, For instance., when targeting the keyword 'SEO', also include terms like 'organic rankings' and 'website optimization' within the copy)
    • Author a Blog (to gain trust and authority over the subject)
    • Write content based on the sentiment of your site audience

Technical SEO

Technical SEO involves creation or modification of code found on the website for SEO tweaks or site performance enhancement:

  • Page load speed (yes, Google prefers fast-loading websites)
  • An appealing Web 3.0 user-friendly and 100% responsive layout
  • Rich Snippet deployment
  • Indexing and Crawlability Issues
  • W3C HTML validation
  • Audit Site Internal Links & Architecture
  • Sitemap generation
  • Robots.txt validation
  • Canonicalization
  • Header Checks & Response Codes
  • Custom Pages for URL Redirects (404 for page not found; 301 redirects for new URL locations, while moving to a new CMS or while deploying a new architecture, without losing link juice)
  • Tools such as keyword density analyzer that serve as link baits
  • Bookmark buttons that ready to share on social networks

Off-Page SEO

Off-Page SEO, on the contrary, is what takes place away from the website. A few years ago, only links from external sites, were perceived as key off-page indicators, with the aim of interpreting links as votes (that’s what the Google founders relied upon, to rank websites, initially, for a given key phrase). However, search engines, especially Google, have diversified the way they interpret votes: It is links plus social signals, not just links. And, this is where Social Media Marketing and visitor interaction play an alternative role in off- page optimization.

Link Building
We acquire/request/buy links from vast array of websites to improve the ranking potential of your website in search engines and to rank for targeted keyword phrase
Social Media Optimization (Long-term)
We develop methods to generate your site’s publicity through social media like videos, social networking sites (Facebook, Linkedin), meet-up groups, industry events, etc.

CRO & CTR Optimization

Conversion rate optimization (CRO) is the methodical process of improving the percentage of website visitors who take the desired action — be that filling out a lead form, becoming customers, or otherwise. The CRO process involves understanding how users move through your site, what actions they take, and what’s stopping them from completing your goals.

Besides this, we also offer CTR (Click Through Rate) optimization, a process of re-optimization of a web page, where the click through rate is below a dismal 20% while achieving top 2 rankings.
